Painted - I hope its not a shock, but more so an understanding. I don't claim to be a fantastic angler, but I do claim to know the water that I have lived and fished on for 30 years better than anyone, except my dad and my mum. I take great pride in being a guide.
In regard to meeting people who fish better than me, of course! No one is a perfect angler. I have caught some of my best fish on extremely terrible casts, some i thought were rocks, and some were purely by accident - letting line out, and fish jumps on!
To me, a great majority of angling finesse comes from ethics, and awareness that numbers of fish caught should not define who we are as anglers. Fly fishing is supposed to be fun, and i always tell my clients that fish can sense when someone is deperate, or stressed out. The clients that are happy and relaxed catch a much higher percentage of fish...honestly.
As for the video, thanks for watching it! The windy parts are in Argentina. BC is not that windy. The video was shot in a bunch of different places in the world - BC, Argentina, Cuba, Brazil...
Oaf - Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to know that you think similarly. Also, I too think its great if someone catches a fish behind me. It always makes me laugh, and makes me happy for them.
